AHHHH here's another ADORABLE post for today, though I will keep it short since the photos pretty much speak for themselves. Jill, Matt, and I met up at Forest Park for a gorgeous/glorious/goramazing (yes, that is a word) fall maternity photo shoot. Luckily, we found a tree with a heart carved on it, which was just PERFECT for them! They don't know the sex of the baby, who is due on 1/11/2015. YES, COMING SOON!!! Jill and Matt, you guys will have to keep us updated :)!!!

The Maserangs remind me of why I LOVEE photography!!! Kim, Jeff, their 2.5 year-old little man Landon and I met up on a beautiful fall afternoon on Main Street in St. Charles. In case you can't tell from the photos already, Landon was SUCH a dream to work with! He was extremely agreeable and said "OK" to everything that we asked of him.
Currently, Landon loves robots and trains, so he was especially excited to see (and drive!) some historic trains halted on the tracks. Look at how happy he is, running/striding towards the trains!!! Landon and I also share a mutual passion for fruit snacks.... KIM, CAN I HAVE LANDON?!? SLU ISA, or Saint Louis University Indian Student Association, held a Garba Raas Bhangra night on Oct 10th to celebrate the 9th (last night) of Navratri. Navratri, or "nine nights" in Sanskrit, is a festival dedicated to the worship of the nine forms of the Hindu deity, Divine Mother Durga.
Hundreds of people from the St. Louis community came together and bonded while learning/performing three different Indian dances: (you guessed it) Garba, Raas, and Bhangra. The night was SO much fun!!! I need to find myself a traditional Indian costume and join in on the fun on the dance floor next year :) In the meanwhile, we can look forward to Diwali, another major festival (of lights) that begins 20 days after the 10th day of Navratri :) |
