Varsha Mangal, rocking the natural make-up-less both beachy AND ELEGANT look! Here's to a future model and lawyer! 

After the unexpected tornado that landed a little too close to home passed, St. Louis' weather finally turned around, and I got to spend a wonderful afternoon with this lovely lady, Iris. I thank her for coming to the shoot full with enthusiasm, ideas, and willingness to try new things! I am also super impressed by  her uncanny ability to change into different outfits under any circumstances AND to be able to rock all the different looks!!! 

While I normally do not apply Instagramic filters/presets to my work, I did so for this portrait of Maria, a visiting student from Colombia. The warm color cast is especially appropriate for the photo because it represents her warm and bubbly personality well. The vintage look is also appropriate because our friendship is timeless. I hope that we will reunite in the near future. Good luck and keep in touch in the meanwhile, Maria! :) 

A close friend of mine, Linyi, came to St. Louis to visit, and I took this opportunity to show him the Arch and Wash U... and, of course, snapped a few portraits of him. 

PS: Can you tell the last photo was taken by an iPhone!? I had to adjust the contrast and exposure and such, but I am still impressed! Good thing the lens of the iPhone camera is wide enough to capture the bulk of the arch because my 85mm prime certainly was not able to!

On this beautiful fall afternoon, just as the leaves were turning colors, I went on a special mission: to photograph Deborah and Hallie, two besties who have been rooming with each other for years. We took a relaxing stroll in the neighborhood just behind the intersection of Forsyth and Big Bend. I didn't know there was such a serene niche so close to the hustle and bustle of Wash U!
